17 GENTLE ACRES IN SOUTH AVERY COUNTY, NC
If you walk this land with me I think youll really like it. This is land to build on, to build a home on, grow crops on, put up outbuildings and do some light farming. This is land you use because its gentle enough. There are several things I like about it. First its well-shaped. Many tracts have odd and almost unusable dimensions. This one is almost a perfect square/pentagon and that counts for a lot. Next its almost entirely south-facing. Thats a great benefit in winter when both warmth and light from the sun are desirable. Access is good and its got a legal right-of-way, which isnt always the case. And right when you enter the land a large, beautiful pasture unfolds to meet you. Gentle views greet you at the top of this clearing which would make this an ideal building site. Above on the higher elevations the view would be long distance and remarkable. The land has nice balance. As we walked across the meadow we came upon a lively little 2-3 wide stream running exactly through the center of the property which empties out into a gentle flat at the southern boundary. Walking the lines we discovered all the property pins in place making it very easy to understand the boundaries and orient yourself to the land. There are plenty of gentle glades in the interior and one entirely enclosed mountaintop. Another feature I really enjoyed about this land was given the size and shape how easy it would be to entirely ensconce yourself inside its boundaries and enjoy utter peace and privacy. If you drive out to walk it using the directions below something else youll observe that I really enjoyed about it was the beauty of the approach. When you turn off Hwy 221 on Hwy 194 (Three Mile Road) you open into one of the prettiest valleys Ive seen in the high country. Just the act of coming home, going back and forth in that valley would soothe the soul. Think about it and if youre interested go ahead and take the directions and follow them up to this pretty tract and see if you dont agree with me after walking it what a special place these seventeen acres are. Call or e-mail me if I can help you.
